Blending French Style with British Heritage

Overview

Our latest Sienna kitchen project has been a particularly special one; bringing the dream kitchen of chef and cookbook author Manon Lagreve to life (you may recognise her from GBBO!).

For this home, the vision was to blend French heritage with British craftsmanship, creating a space that felt personal to Manon while sitting beautifully within her Victorian townhouse in London.

As both a chef and content creator, the kitchen needed to work hard in every sense - functioning as an everyday family kitchen, a space for entertaining, and a beautifully considered backdrop for filming and photography. The balance between practicality and aesthetics was central to the design from the very beginning.

One of the biggest challenges was working with the home’s quirky layout while maximising storage throughout the space. Thoughtful details such as integrated spice racks, pantry cupboards, and deep double drawers were incorporated to make use of every inch. Bespoke library ladders were also introduced to access the full-height cabinetry and shelving, adding both functionality and character to the design.

Beautiful finishing touches helped bring the French bistro influence to life, from the mesh-front cabinetry to the bespoke chalkboard feature. The patinated brass hardware added warmth and depth throughout, proof that the smallest details often have the biggest impact on the final result.

The finished kitchen is chic, warm, and effortlessly inviting - a space that perfectly combines British craftsmanship with timeless French style. Designed for cooking, entertaining, family life, and the simple everyday moments, it feels both elevated and wonderfully lived in.
